About a year ago, I was driving along and a red car with a new Zoo window sticker was in front of me - it made my day.
Made me think... not expecting to ever find another Zoo radio/elephant sticker to display proudly on my car, would be great if they could be reproduced.
Who owns the art and design of the old window stickers?
Why buy a reproduction when originals are still available. Not a week goes by when you can't find at least one ZOO sticker on eBay. Some even sold by original ZOO staffers, but 'eye' can't tell ya who...
Thanks for writing...Zookeep
The last song that was played was "Down Boys by Warrant" on December 11, 1989. Actually, they didn't even play the whole song. They cut into the middle and went directly to Christmas music. The Christmas music continued till December 26th, when they went to a "light rock" format as "Warm 97.9 FM" under the existing KZEW call letters. On January 9, 1990 the KZEW call letters left Dallas-Ft.Worth forever when they were changed to KKWM, then to KLRX in 1991, then to KRRW in 1993, then in 1997 became the current KBFB call letters.
The ZOO's old KZEW call letters currently belong to 101.7 The Zoo, a small rock station in Wheatland, Wyoming. Which reminds me...
